Health Education and Awarness for Life (H.E.A.L.) Courses

 



Eat Your Heart Out
This course explores the role of diet, cholesterol, fats and lifestyle in the onset of cardiovascular disease.  Dietary and lifestyle strategies for reducing risks of cardiovascular ailments are offered.

Feel Like a Natural Woman
This course explores the nature of women’s health issues (pre-menopause, menopause, weight management, and reproductive issues).  Correlation between diet, lifestyle and the onset of these issues is examined, and strategies to offset these imbalances are discussed.

Holistic Nutrition 101
This class examines the macro and micro nutrients required for health; the importance of nutrient proportion; causes for nutritional debt. Natural sources of nutrients are identified, as well as strategies for moving toward healthier eating.

Intelligent Eating – Your Food, Your Health, Your Choice
This class explores the relationship of the internal environment on health.  The connection between food, health and disease is examined, as well as the influence of attitudes toward food on our dietary choices and, the influence of food on our attitude.  Dietary and lifestyle change strategies are identified for reducing risk of health imbalances.

Man-O-Man My Health!
This class explores several men’s health issues (cardiovascular, prostate, dental health, on diabetes, cancer, sexual and emotional health) in the context of personal responsibility and the larger impact of families.  Several approaches for prevention and health restoration are discussed.

Raising Healthy Children
This course explores the obstacles and opportunities parents face in raising healthy children in today’s society.  Participants are encouraged to personally examine their reasons for not making healthy choices for their children, and are presented with several options for making changes.

Spiritual Nutrition
This course will focus on the spiritual foundations of health.  Students will engage in research and discussion about health from a spiritual perspective.  Several religious constructs will be explored as they relate to nutrition, exercise and right thinking as requisites for establishing and maintaining health.  Students will learn how physical, mental and spiritual balance is important to maintaining overall health.

The Bugs in Your Body
This course explores the role and prevalence of pathogens (parasites, bacteria, viruses) in the onset and occurrence of health issues.  Strategies for identification and cleansing are presented.

The Path of Yeast Resistance
This course explores the role of yeast as an underlying cause in many health imbalances.  Information of what yeast is, what it does, where it comes from and how it affects health is presented, as well as strategies for elimination and health restoration.

Treating the Disease You Don’t Have Yet
This course explores the common dietary and lifestyle risks as they relate to the onset of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity and other disorders .  Approaches for prevention and change are presented.

Get the Stress Outta Here!
This course explores the nature of stress - what stress is, how the body responds to stress, and how those responses influence health.   Techniques and strategies that can help effectively manage and resolve these stress and improve your overall health and well being are presented.
